From Enquiry To Agreement

Once you’ve looked over this website, downloaded a prospectus brochure and hopefully concluded that a Granite Transformations franchise is right for you, the next step is to get in touch by completing and returning our online form or requesting a callback.

At this stage and for some way down the line, there is no formal commitment on your part, other than signing an initial confidentiality agreement, so there’s no need to feel any pressure.

Phase One

The first step is to talk to our franchise consultant, Dug Aylen, who will guide you through the application process, talk about the overall investment required, look at available territories, and help you determine whether you’ll be a good fit with a Granite Transformations franchise.  This will be followed by a Discovery Day at our head office to get a full overview of the business, helping you understand the products, processes and people involved. Next, you’ll be asked to complete and return a franchise application form, after which we shall carry out a number of personal and business credit checks. We’ll also require you to complete an industry-standard online profiling questionnaire, to measure the specific skills and behaviour needed to become a successful franchise owner.

Phase Two

Assuming all goes well, and with a £2,500 deposit paid, a second meeting will be arranged in your area to look more closely at the proposed territory, possible premises and local competitors, helping you to decide on the correct business model. You will then work closely with our independent franchise financing firm (Franchise Finance), who will help you prepare a professional business plan, a standard requirement whether or not you need financial assistance, and apply for any necessary bank finance. Our pre-approved lending facilities with the high street banks and your tailor-made business plan usually make obtaining a bank loan a formality.

Phase Three

Finally, with your business plan fully prepared to prove the business will be viabale, we will then draw up your franchise agreement, which you can discuss with a specialist franchise lawyer. After attending to various administrative matters such as registering for VAT and PAYE, you will sign and return the franchise agreement and pay the balance of the franchise fee. After all these formalities, you will then attend our comprehensive induction training programme, to bring you up to speed on all operational and installation matters. Now you will be a fully-fledged Granite Transformations franchise owner.
