Concession Showroom

Concession Showroom

Reducing the start-up and legal costs still further, this model dispenses with the need for high street premises, in exchange for an in-store concession site in a garden centre or similar retail complex. The Franchise Owner will need to invest in a purpose-made showroom display area and rented floorspace, selecting a site with sufficient customer traffic to general sales enquiries. Whilst there is no manufacturing element, it does entail local sales and marketing commitments, as well as measuring up and installation work. The lack of a high street presence reduces the initial investment, although an active sales and local publicity programme will be needed to compensate for a possible reduction in passing trade.

Fees are subject to VAT at the current rate, although this element can be reclaimed if the business is VAT registered.
