Recognising that not all people have a technical bent and that others may wish to limit their setting up costs, this franchise model focuses on retail sales and home installations only, removing the manufacturing element from the mix. The Franchise Owner is responsible for investing in high street showroom premises, ideally with adjacent parking and storage facilities for fabricated worktops and pre-made replacement doors. The Franchisor takes care of the manufacturing side, either handling the fabrication centrally or assigning production to other franchisees with workshop facilities. This option removes the need to invest in factory premises and to recruit and retain workshop staff locally, meaning that start-up costs are significantly reduced. There is even the option of upgrading to a full Showroom & Workshop package at a later date, once the original business is bedded in.

Fees are subject to VAT at the current rate, although this element can be reclaimed if the business is VAT registered.
