Since starting our Granite Transformations business, early 2014 we can honestly answer a question that is asked regularly. Q: With you experience and all you have learned in your first year, in hindsight, would you invest in this particular franchise again? And the answer is most definitely yes!
From day one Danny and the team in Tunbridge Wells have been brilliant, very supportive and always quick to respond when help is needed. We didn’t have the smoothest of starts, having moved back from running a business in another country our financial footprint was none existent so, self-funding the whole operation, we had to be frugal and the setup costs had to be accurate. And, give or take, the predicted setup costs have been true. We also ran into some issues when opening our large garden centre concession. Rock Solid’s technical team were on board giving us all the assistance we required to get the store open. And since opening it has been a major supplier of good quality leads that has helped deliver the finances we predicted for year one and more.
We have also suffered with staffing. Finding good quality kitchen fitters in such an affluent area as Oxfordshire hasn’t been easy. Rock Solid have provided a fantastic, fast training programme that has made it easy for us to get fitters up to speed with fitting, and fabricating, our Trend product range. Within two weeks our fitters are out fitting to a very high standard and working autonomously. The customer feedback has been amazing and new projects from recommendations are growing monthly.
Still within our first year we are planning the opening of our third showroom and look set to see our revenues grow greater than we could have imagined. We have a great partnership with Rock Solid Granite, one which we believe will grow and grow and generate a great income, more jobs and a continued feeling of accomplishment.
